Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The nozzle head moving type ink jet reocording device is provided with a laterally traveling unit 4 and the nozzle head 1 which are moved in the direction X and a lifting unit 2 which is moved in the direction Y. In this device, the movement of the nozzle head 1 in the direction X and the direction Y is performed by the pulleys and the cable 12 which are operated by a motor 7. The pulleys between the laterally traveling unit 4 and the lifting unit 2 are constituted as a pulley block system. The cable 12 is arranged so as to correspond to said system. The number of the movable pulleys 13 and 14, the number of the fixed pulleys 15 and 16, and the number of the cable between them are adjusted, so that the amount of the movement and the operating force in the direction y with respect to the direction X becomes 1/2n (n is 1-3).
