Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a mold of bacterium having a high content of protein in high yield easily, by cultivating a bacterium belonging to the genus Methylobacillus, capable of assimilating methylamines.
CONSTITUTION: A bacterium such as Methylobacillus glycogenes ATCC29475, belonging to the genus Methylobacillus, Achromobacter, Methylobacterium, Microcyclus, Paracoccus, or Thiobacillus, capable of assimilating methylamines, is inoculated on a medium comprising a methylamine such as methylamine, dimethylamine, trimethylamine, their salts, etc. as a main carbon cource, cultivated at 20W40°C in a pH of 5W9 under aerobic conditions, and a mold of the bacterium is separated from the culture solution.
