Abstract
PURPOSE: To disperse conductive particles uniformly on the surfaces of the parent body particles of a magnetic toner by sticking the conductive particles on the surfaces of said parent body particles in the state in which said surfaces are kept elevated to the m.p. or below and the softening point or above by high- speed agitation.
CONSTITUTION: For example, the magnetic toner prior to formation of conductive layers (parent particles of a magnetic toner) is agitated at high speeds of 200W2,000m/min peripheral speeds in an agitating tank by using a super mixer, whereby it is heated up to 45W50°C (above the softening point of said parent body particles) by the heat evolution effect among the parent body particles of the magnetic toner or between an impeller and a tank wall. Thence, a resistance control agent, for example, carbon black which is conductive particles is added at 1W5wt% and is uniformly dispersed and coated again by the high-speed agitation.
