Abstract

PURPOSE:To apply a mold release amount to a mold surface uniformly in the amount required for mold releasing by a method wherein an electric field is provided between a mold and a spray nozzle, and spray particles of the mold release agent is sprayed onto the mold surface in an electrostatically charged condition by impressing a voltage on the spray nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An electric field is provided between a perfectly grounded mold 1 and an electrostatic spray nozzle 4, and a high voltage is supplied from a high-voltage generator 9 to a corona electrode provided at the nozzle 4 through a voltage regulator 8 and a lead wire 7. The nozzle 4 is supplied with the required amount of the mold release agent from a tank 6 for the release agent through a hose 5 for the agent, and atomizes the release agent. The atomized spray particles are electrostatically charged in the electric field. The charged particles are repelled from each other, they are adhered to the mold surface in the condition of being separated from each other and are adhered uniformly also to protuberant and recessed parts, producing a uniform film of the mold release agent on the entire surface of the mold. Then, a precurser of a cured body is poured into the mold and is molded and cured.
