Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture liquid crystal display device with improved secular change, by rinsing a cleaned object for electrooptic device with a rinsing liquid containing a chemical compound selected from sugar, monoalchohol and polyhydric alchohol, and a surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of compounds selected from sugar (e.g., cellulose), monoalchohol (e.g.,methanol) and polyhydric alchohol (e.g., ethlene glycol) and surface active agent (preferably, nonionic surface active agent, e.g., poly- ethylene glycol monostearate) are included in a rinsing liquid. Substrates 2, 5 and electrode plates 1, 4 provided with an insulation layer 9 are rised with the said rinsing liquid. Rinsing is made without adhesion of foam. An electrooptic display device is manufactured by using rinsed material. A device with improved secular change is obtained.
