Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of heat dissipating property by having thermal expansion of a plate type fins and a cooling tube take place in the direction of the axis thereby preventing warping of the plate type fins and the cooling tube. CONSTITUTION:A tube type heat exchanger comprises a cooling water returning tube and a cooling tube 4 having the plurality of plate type fins 3 radially placed via the cooling tube contacting member 2 around the returning tube 1 and others. The plate type fins 3 are shortened along the length and each having surplus gaps for thermal expansion in the direction of the axis. Bonding of the plate fins 3 and the cooling tube 4 is done by welding 10 only at the center thereby allowing thermal expansion of the plate fins 3 and the cooling tube 4 to take place in the direction of the axis preventing warping of the plate fins 3 and the cooling tube 4, and deterioration of heat dissipating property.
