Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove manganese scale stuck on the surfaces of water pipings for various purposes at the normal temperature by treating said scale with hydrazine(salt)-contg. liquid. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water pipings, etc. stuck with manganese scale on their surfaces are treated by a dipping method or the like by using an aq. inorg. acid or org. acid soln. contg. hydrazine hydrate or hydrazine sulfate at about 0.03-6wt%. The concn. of the aq. soln. is set at generally 1-10% and the treatment temp. is ordinary temp. If necessary, the soln. is heated. By this method, the manganese scale is eluted and removed in a short time without corroding metals.
