Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the quantity of deposition of sand or the like and the deposition distribution, by providing many ultrasonic sensors at different fitting angles to radiate ultrasonic waves from a constant point on a waterway toward measure points on the waterway bottom. CONSTITUTION:A sensor fitting table 3 is provided at a constant point of a waterway 1 of a pond with sand or the like deposited, and many ultrasonic sensors 4a, 4b, 4c-4n are provided on this table 3. Sensors have fitting angles and directions different from one another to direct ultrasonic waves toward plural measuring points which are predetermined on the waterway bottom. For example, when the length from the sensor 4b to a measuring point, the length from the sensor to the surface of deposition, and the height of deposition of sand or the like are denoted as (l), l1, and l2 respectively, l2=l-l1 is true. Since a radiation angle (alpha) of ultrasonic waves of each sensor is set prliminarily, a height H of deposition of sand or the like in the vertical direction is obtained on a basis of equation H=l2Xcosalpha by an operating circuit. This height is operated to display quantities of deposition and the deposition distribution.
