Abstract

PURPOSE:To separate an aluminum(A1) piece from a PR piece by utilizing the specific gravity difference between them by a method in which a rolled Al- laminated PE belt-like material is cut into a specific length range of pieces and then dipped in hot water. CONSTITUTION:Sheath wastes 1 are made into sheath pieces 7 through a roller 5 and a continuous cutter 6, and then charged into the hot water 9 of a water tank 8. In this case, PE 2 and aluminum(A1) 3 are concurrently rolled by the roller 5, but when the pressure is removed, the PE 2 is ready to restore but Al 3 fails to restore because its elastic limit is exceeded, whereby producing an attritive force as a delamination action in the joint portion between PE 2 and Al 3. At the same time, an adhesive layer is mechanically broken by rolling and its bonding force is lowered, and also when dipping it in hot water, PE 2 is naturally separated from A13. Since the specific gravity of the PE piece 2 separated is ligher than water, or 0.92 to 0.95, it is floated on hot water, whereas Al piece 3 having a heavier specific gravity, or 2.7, settles.
