Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the danger of breakout and to perform lubrication smoothly by providing fine grooves in a large number of steps in a longitudinal or transverse direction or in both directions at intervals below specific values on the inside surfaces of a mold. CONSTITUTION:A large number of steps of, for example, longitudinal grooves 8, 8', 8'' are provided on the inside surfaces of a mold 1 of a continuous casting device using gaseous lubrication, and a large number of gas ejection holes 3, 3' are provided in the lowermost step.
