Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution and realize a miniaturization of an autoreverse device, by detecting mechanically a change of the rotating direction of a motor which gives a rotary drive to a capstan shaft.
CONSTITUTION: The rotating direction of a drive rotor 5 is changed according to a change of rotating direction of a motor 14, and at the same time a rotary member 9 is turned. With a small rotary force of the member 9, a transmission mechanism 44 is shifted until the position where it engages a drive rotor 5. After this, the mechanism 44 is driven intensively by the rotary force of the rotor 5, and then a pinch roller switch mechanism 28 is actuated by the mechanism 44. As a result, pinch rollers 17A and 17B are attached and detached to and from capstan shafts 3A and 3B. Accordingly, the rollers 17A and 17B are switched over by means of the motor 14 that drives the shafts 3A and 3B. In such a way, the constitution is simplified.
