Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to stop a tape at an entry position in a short time by operating a stop servo before the entry value according to the tape speed by providing an entry means of the tape position and a tape speed detection means.
CONSTITUTION: When locate switch 11 is turned on and a value of entry means 9 is indicated, tape 3 is wound up from reel 1 to reel 2. At this time, the output of rotation detection unit 12 which is operated dependently upon the axis of guide roller 5 is counted in 13, and tape positions are displayed on display means 10 every moment. Then, the count output and the entry output are compared with each other in 14, and they are subjected to subtraction in 16, and motor control circuit 18 is driven through gate 15 according to the comparison result, and the subtraction output is subjected to A/D conversion in 17 to drive circuit 18. As a result, the speed of motors 20 and 19 is controlled in fast feeding and rewinding states, so that the tape can be stopped correctly at the entry value position.
