Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve uniform fixing without unevenness, by providing two high frequency generating means in a microwave heat fixing device, and making different mutual phase so that strong and weak part of high frequency energy can be compensated with each other. CONSTITUTION:The phases in high frequency generated from the 1st and 2nd high frequency generating means are made different relating to vertical direction to carrying direction of recording member. For example, the length of waveguides 2 and 2a are different, the position difference L1 between absorbers 6, 6a, position difference L2 between microwave oscillators 5, 5a, and sum (L1+L2) are taken that they are not a multiple of half wave length of microwave and wave length. The phase of two high frequencies is different and uniform print performance can be obtained by overlapping the antinode and node mutually.
