Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an oscillator using the elastic surface wave element of a large frequency variable width, by forming a loop with a phase shifter of 2pi radian or more and an amplifier for feedback to connect input/output transducers where the electrode finger interval is changed successively. CONSTITUTION:Elastic surface wave element 1 is constituted by input-side transducer 3a and output-side transducer 3b where the electrode finger interval is changed successively, and these transducers 3a and 3b are connected into a loop by phase shifter 4 of phase shift extent 2pi or more and amplifier 5 for feedback. As a result, plural frequency points of oscillation conditions exist, and the oscillator oscillates at one point of them.
