Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure assured protection for a load cell with a simple structure, by providing an elastic member that transmits the load on a stage plate and a stopper having a prescribed space from the stage plate onto a weight transmitting plate provided in contact with the load cell. CONSTITUTION:A stage plate 1 which holds an object to be weighed is supported by a weight transmitting plate 7 by means of a pair of springs 2 and 3. The plate 7 is put on a pair of load cells 5 and 6 fixed onto a basement 4, and an opening is formed at the center part of the plate 7. And a stopper 8 pierces through the opening of the plate 7. A stopper 8a is set at the position opposite to the center part O of the plate 1 and with a prescribed distance l. In case an object is put at a drifted position on the plate 1, the different loads are applied to the load cells 5 and 6. And the mean load is calculated by an arithmetic circuit for these loads 5 and 6 to always obtain a correct load. If the load more than a limit is applied to the plate 1, the stopper 8 supports the plate 1. In such way, the load cells 5 and 6 can be assuredly protected through a simple constitution.
