Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct a parallax in case of short-distance photographing, by varying the direction of a flash device in accordance with range finding information, in a flash photographing device for a camera. CONSTITUTION:The irradiating direction is controlled so that the irradiating optical axis of a stroboscopic light and the photographing optical axis cross at a position of an object to be photograhed, by transmitting an output of a range finder 2 to a flash device by some means and operating an irradiating direction variable device 4. Said control can be interlocked with both manual focusing and automatic focusing, and also as for the interlocking means, either of a mechanical means or an electrical means will do. According to such constitution, there is no possibility that disrcrepancy between the photographing range and the irradiation range of a flash is caused, even in case of photographing an object to be photographed, existing at a short distance.
