CONSTITUTION:A gas parting wall part A is formed at a suitable position of an optical fiber cable 1. After well wetting the exposed core fibers 3 with thermosetting resin, a nonwoven fabric impregnated with thermosetting resin is wound around the fibers 3 and parts of the sheath 2 close to the fibers 3 to form a thermosetting resin layer 4.
