PURPOSE:To prevent a boiler from hunting caused by a drop of temperature, by providing temperature sensors to detect the temperature of hot water of each side of feed water port and hot water outlet, and by determining whether combustion is necessary or not by comparing the temperature of hot water in each side with a reference temperature. CONSTITUTION:Combustion is not started if a temperature T0 detected by a temperature sensor 12 in the upper part is higher than the safe temperature t3. When the detected temperature is T0<t3, checking is made to find out whether it is lower than the reference temperature t2 of the upper part or not. If the result is T0<t3, combustion is started. In case that it is T0>t2, whether combustion is to be performed or not is determined by the temperature Ti of the lower part, which is detected by the temperature sensor 11 in the lower part. When the set temperature in the lower (T1) part is Ti<T1, combustion is started. In case of Ti>T1, combustion is stopped. With such an arrangement, a drop of the temperature of hot water and hunting caused in a boiler are prevented.
