Abstract

PURPOSE:To align the position of a chuck held by holding arms with the position of each spindle, in a chuck transferring device, by variably adjusting the pivotal positions of the chuck holding arms. CONSTITUTION:A transfer body 8 is rotatably supported on a base 1, a plurality of chuck holding arms 12, 12' grip a chuck pivotally supported, a plurality of chuck pushing arms 15 resiliently press the chuck through a press spring 25, and an actuating cylinder 3 performs the gripping of the chuck holding arms and as well the pressing of the chuck pushing arms. A pivotal shaft 18 supporting the holding arms is formed as an eccentric shaft, and the eccentricity of the pivotal shaft is possible to be changed, that is, the eccentricity of the pivotal shaft for the holding arms is sequentially adjusted with respect to the position of one spindle which has the longest distance to a turning shaft 2 among the positions of the spindles, thereby the misalignment between the axis of the chuck to be gripped and the axis of each spindle is limited to the minimum.
