Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the expansion of a space by employing a paper tube for a winding roll of an ink donor sheet whose outside diameter is smaller than the outside diameter of a paper tube for a feed roll and thereby preventing that the outside diameter of the winding roll becomes greater than that of the feed roll. CONSTITUTION:The ink donor sheet 1 drawn out from the feed roll 2 is led to a thermal head 3 and, after thermal transfer recording is conducted there, it is wound up on the winding roll. On the occasion, when the paper tube used for the core of the winding roll whose outside diameter is the same with the outside diameter of the paper tube 2B of the feed roll 2 is employed, for instance, the outside diameter of the winding roll 6 turns to be 106-108mm. when the outside diameter of the feed roll 2 is 102mm., and this makes it necessary to give an extra space to the winding part. Therefore, the paper tube 6B for the winding roll which is small in diameter is employed beforehand.
