Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the board having excellent physical and mechanical strength and heat resistance, by bonding wooden fiber with polyisocyanate adhesive, thereafter semi-hardening by heat and pressure, further molding under heat and pressure using a mold. CONSTITUTION:A low density mat is obtained by cementing wooden fiber mutually by blowing polyisocyanate adhesive composed mainly of diphenylmethanediisocyanate (preferably containing more than 50wt%) with an air spray etc. on the fibrillated wooden fiber (e.g. crushed product etc. of the wooden chips etc.) and making it mat like by felting, thereafter semi-hardening below 80 deg.C under heat and pressure. Then, the aimed board is obtained by high pressure molding that is by low density semi-hardened mat using the mold at the usual pressure 20-30kg/cm<2> and the temperature above 150 deg.C.
