Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Propylene is reacted with ammonia and oxygen or air, and a reaction gas 1 containing acryonitride, acetonitrile, hydrocyanic acid, ammonia and high-boiling polymeric compounds from a reactor is washed with an unsaturated ammonium sulfate solution containing sulfuric acid in a washing column 2, and then fed from the bottom through an outlet pipe 8 to an oil content separating tank 10 by a pump 9. A suturated ammonium sulfate solution from a crystallizing tank 14 is fed through a supply pipe 26' and mixed with the unsaturated ammonium sulfate solution in the tank 10 to separate oily substances 15. The solution after the removal of the oily substances 15 is fed from a supply pipe 17 to the crystallizing tank 14 to remove crystals 27 and used for washing the reaction gas 1 in the washing column 2.
EFFECT: Polymers and NH3 can be removed efficiently.
