Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep paper in tight contact with a photosensitive drum even after the passage of the trailing end of the paper through a pressing member and to prevent the transfer defect at the trailing end of the paper by providing an auxiliary device consisting of an air blower for bringing the transfer paper into tight contact with the drum on the downstream side of the pressing member. CONSTITUTION:An air blower 6 is disposed on the downstream side of a pressing member 5 pressing paper 2 to a photosensitive drum 3, and blows air upward toward the drum 3 through the air blow ports 8 provided in one row in, for example, a longitudinal direction and therefore even after the passage of the trailing end of the paper 2 through a pressing member 5, the paper 2 can be kept in tight contact with the drum 3 in succession; therefore, the transfer defect at the trailing end of the paper is prevented.
