Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the even energy of transmission for the light flux given from an illuminating device having a circular surface to be irradiated, by securing an equal diameter for the optical fibers at the same radius position and at the same time providing concentraically these optical fibers in a large number by means of a holding cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The optical fibers 13 having the same diameter are provided densely, compactly and in a large number on a holding cylinder 12 into which a holding core 1 is inserted. At the same time, a number of optical fibers 16 having the same diameter are provided densely and compactly between holding cylinders 14 and 15 which are inserted onto the fiber 13. Furthermore a number of optical fibers 18 having the same diameter are provided densely and compactly between holding cylinders 15 and 17. In such constitution, an optical fiber bundle 10 is obtained. As a result, each optical fiber positioned at the same radius position is capable to transmit the uniform optical energy. In addition, the transmission energy can be made uniform for the entire optical fibers by increasing the diameter of the optical fiber toward its outer circumference.
