Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the positioning of a photo-semiconductor element and an optical fiber by forming grooves joining the element and a fiber base for fixing the optical fiber where the element and the fiber base correspond, crossing these grooves with cylinders and fixing the element and the fiber base. CONSTITUTION:The two V-shaped grooves 6 for positioning and the necessary number of the V-shaped grooves 4 for fixing the fibers are formed to the photo- semiconductor array element 2. The proper cylinders 7 are fitted into the V- shaped grooves 6 for positioning of the fiber base 1, one ends are conformed to one end of the fiber base, and another ends are fitted into the V-shaped grooves for positioning of the photo-semiconductor array element 2 from the fiber base and fixed. The optical fibers 5 are fitted into the grooves 4 for fixing the fibers, adjusted so as to obtain the maximum quantity of light and fastened. Accordingly, the photo-semiconductor element and the optical fiber base are easily positioned.
