PURPOSE:To produce no spacing between a pipe and a wall of a silencing casing as which an interior of a U-shaped pipe is used, by hanging the casing wall over a bent part of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:To form a silencing casing in a space which is made inside of a pipe 2 bent in rhe U-shape as a silencer for a compressor or the like, a silencer casing wall 3 bent in the nearly 1-shape is brazed to the U-shaped pipe. A pipe fit part of the casing wall 3 is cut in the form of a dent 3C along the pipe and upper and lower faces 3a of the casing wall 3 are warped out, that is , overhangs toward the end or the bent part of the U-shaped pipe 2. Thereby, the casing wall 3 suitable for the thickness of the bent part gained more at forming of the U-shaped pipe 2, is formed, so that the silencing casing has no spacing between the pipe and the wall. On the other hand, a hole 2a is formed in an area where the U-shaped pipe 2 faces to the silencing casing, so as to suppress noise caused by resonance effect.
