Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a widening mechanism where the moving direction of an operating rod will coinside with the moving direction of the seat, by providing a pair of sliding mechanisms and coupling through a link. CONSTITUTION:A pair of sliding mechanisms comprising notches 2, 7, rails 3, 8, engaging sliders 5, 9 and nails 6, 10 are provided in a basic frame 1 where said nails 6, 10 are coupled through a link 11 to perform the simultaneous mounting/dismounting of said nails 6, 10 by an operational head 19. Rods 12, 13 are operated by an operating rod 16 pivoted at the pivoting point of a member 14 for coupling between said members 5 and 9 to perform the mounting/dismounting of the nails 6, 10. Said rod 16 is located in the back and fro direction and its leading edge is used as the operating head 19. A spring is employed as a recovery device for locking the nails 6, 10 at proper position.
