Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent clearance corrosion in bulge forming by making the amount of bulge uniform by pressing only four sides with constraining jigs having beads and thereby broadening the clearance around the weld zone. CONSTITUTION:Resistance welding 6, 7 is made after attaching mouthpieces 4 to metallic plates 1, 2. Before making bulge forming, outside of the resistance weld zone 6 is pressed by constraining jigs 9, 10 to form constraining beads in the metallic plates 1, 2. Pulling in of the metallic plates 1, 2 at the time of bulge forming is restrained by the constraining beads 3, and the amount of bulge becomes uniform. At the same time, the clearance around the weld zone is broadened to prevent clearance corrosion.
