Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the transmission of both the picture information and the voice information via a single line without using a telephone set and to increase the system efficiency, by using an interphone that performs the transmission/reception of the voice information by means of a picture information reading/recording part and a communication medium which performs the transmission/reception of the picture information. CONSTITUTION:The picture information is read at an original reading part 6 within a transmitter and with every line of an original to be transmitted. The read-out picture information is stored at a speed converting part 7 and then read by a switch circuit to be supplied to an FS modulating circuit 8. Then the picture information of each line and received the FS modulation through the circuit 8 is transmitted to an electric light line 10 having a prescribed frequency band via an interface circuit 9. On the other hand, an operator pushes a call button after operating a specific address through an operation panel. As a result, a voice is converted into an electric signal through a microphone 11 within an interphone. Then the voice is converted into an electric signal through an FF modulating circuit 12, and an FM signal of a prescribed frequency is sent to the line 10 via an interface citcuit 13 to transmit the picture information and a voice information to a single line 10.
