Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the state of a photosensitive surface uniform by rotating a photosensitive drum from a transfer part until it arrives at a destaticizing part at the time of resuming copying operation after interruption during its course. CONSTITUTION:When a copying switch is turned on while a drum is not rotating, a shutter 25 is closed and a drum 2 is rotated, and after it makes 1 turn, a platen 1 starts advancing, and the slit exposure of an original is started. The reflected image of a lamp 3 is slit-exposed onto the drum via a ''selfoc lens''. When the surface charged with a charger 5 arrives at the exposure surface, the plus charge is destaticized by a minus charger 6 and the light image. When the surface thereof arrives at the uniform exposure surface, the electrostatic latent image of high contrast is formed on the drum surface by the light from a mirror 26.
