By switching on the source 13, the interior of a furnace 12 is heated, and the bulb 1 is attached to a bulb chuck 9 and a bulb support 10, fixed in a laid state, and transferred with chains 4, 5. The plate 11 is also moved together with the bulb 1. The bulb 1 is softened by heating with the source 13 through the plate 11, and the softened bulb 1 is fed to a winding apparatus, and formed into a circular bulb such as a circular fluorescent lamp by continuous winding.
