Abstract

PURPOSE:To smooth carrying and prevent damage to coating by dividing a conveyor into front half and rear half and working the end of coated electrodes sent from each coating machine separately and carrying them to drying process by respective inclined conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A coated elecrrode put out from the first coating machine 10 is carried to the front end of the front half of a conveyor 22 through a cross conveyor 18, and front and rear ends are ground by grinding machines 32, 34. After working the end, the coated electrode is picked up by an inclined conveyor 48 installed at rear end of the front half 22A and carried to the middle part of an inclined conveyor 46 through a horizontal conveyor 50 and an auxiliary conveyor 52. The coated electrode put out from the second coating machine 12 is coated by grinding machine 32, 34 and the coating machine 40 on the rear half 22B of the conveyor 22, picked up by the inclined conveyor 46 of the rear half 22B and carried to a dryer.
