PURPOSE:To prepare a heat-sensitive recording material which enables to preform a clear and steady printing even at a high-speed recording and for a long- recording time, and prevents the production of color development due to pressure and of fog during the preservation, by a method wherein a heat-sensitive color development layer is formed through additional incorporation of a given chemical compound. CONSTITUTION:One type or more of compounds (A) shown by formulasI, II, wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 are C10-30 alkyl, and one or more compounds (B) shown by formulas III-VII, wherein R5, R7 are C10-30 alkyl; R6, R10 are C1-30 alkyl; R8, R9 are H, lower alkyl; R11, R12 are H, halogen, lower allkyl, lower alkoxy, n is 0, 1; R13, R15 are C1-30 alkyl, phenyl; R14, R16 are halogen, lower alkyl, are added to a mixture consisting of a leuco dye such as Crystal Violet, an acidic material such as bisphenol A, and a binder such as polyvinyl alcohol. A heat-sensitive color development layer, consisting of the composition so obtained, is then formed on a supporter to prepare a heat-sensitive recording material.
