Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve construction workability, by placing an group of plates, which are connected at their lug parts, in a battery jar; then, connecting only separately produced inter-cell connecting conductors, through bulkheads and connecting the group of plates to the inter-cell connecting conductors. CONSTITUTION:Plural number of cell are formed in a mono-block. A group of plates 1 in a storage battery, where pressure degree per unit surface area of a plate is adjusted as 20-120kg/cm<2>, are welded with straps 2, 3, while a group of inter-cell connecting conductors 4, 5 are prepared separately. After plates 1 is placed in the battery jar 6, inter-cell connecting conductors 4, 5 are resistance welded through a hole penetrating the bulkhead 7 and then straps 2, 3 of the group of plates and inter-cell connecting conductors 4, 5 are connected. Accordingly, as the resistance welding is carried out without any useless force but the weight of the inter-cell connecting conductors 4, 5 themselves, complete connection is effected by a simple operation and reliability can be improved.
