Abstract

PURPOSE:To make removal of jamming paper easy, by providing a pressing means exerting two stages of pressing force between fixing rollers and a pressure release means reducing the pressure of the pressing means. CONSTITUTION:In a normal pressing state, the bottom of a U-groove 34 and the lower surface of a pin 35 have a slight gap. When an operation lever 14 is operated, since a shaft 12 is free up and down at a broad part of a hole 15, a pressing lever 9 is turned counterclockwise with a force of a large pressure spring 16, the U-groove bottom 34 and the pin 35 are brought into contact with each other, the lever 9 is turned counterclockwise together with a roller 7 until the shaft 12 comes into contact with the lower surface of the wide part of the hole 15. But, the pressing lever 9 has clockwise torque by taking the pin 35 as a rotating center through the force of a small pressing spring 17, the large pressure spring 16 turns the pressing lever 9 counterclockwise by taking the pin 35 as a center and overcomes a force to detach the roller 7 from a roller 2, allowing to press the roller 7 to the roller 2 with suitably weak force.
