Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the titled device which detects a trouble between deflection electrodes, and prevents breakdown of an electronic circuit and malfunctioning of a device, by a method wherein the device is provided with a resistance having one end, connected to an electrode at an earthed side of deflection electrodes, and the other end being earthed, and with a comparison circuit for comparing the voltage of the resistance with a set voltage. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 131 at an earthed side of deflection electrodes 131 and 132 is earthed via a resistor R1, a comparison circuit 32 is connected to the resistor R1, and an output of an amplifier AM2 is inputted to a comparator CR3, equipped with a variable resistor VR1 for setting a threshold for detecting a phase researching signal and to a comparator CM4 possessing a variable resistor VR2 for setting a threshold for detecting high-voltage discharge. If discharge is produced between the deflection electrodes, a voltage is generated at the opposite ends of the detecting resistor R1, and a high-frequency component of a discharge current is fed to the amplifier AM2 via capacitors C1 and C2 and the input resistor R2. An AND will have a ''1'' output (high-tension discharge detecting output), and a deflection voltage power source 18 is brought to OFF via a central controller 30 to bring a motion of a recorder to a stop as well.
