Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the limitation of distortion characteristic of a high frequency amplifier, by amplifying the high frequency of an input signal through a filter which can switch the input signal to VHF low, high channel and UHF channel, and making frequency conversion via a low pass filter. CONSTITUTION:Television signals at VHF low channel, a VHF high channel and a UHF band received at an antenna 1 are suitably selected at a switching filter 2, and after being amplified at a high frequency amplifying circuit 3 of AGC control, it is fed to a low-pass filter circuit 6. Since the low pass filter circuit 6 is set to block frequencies more than the UHF signal frequency, the interference in the UHF band produced when setting the gain of the circuit 3 to a high level can be avoided. The output of the low pass filter circuit 6 is applied to a mixing circuit 4 and frequency-converted into a VIF signal in 40MHz or similar with the local oscillating signal from a local oscillation circuit 5.
