Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a quick analysis for the luminous intensity distribution of a rod-shaped lamp to be measured and to increase the accuracy of measurement, by shifting a photodetector in parallel to said lamp and converting the output and the extent of shift of the photodetector into digital signals for process. CONSTITUTION:A photodetector is shifted in parallel to a rod-shaped lamp to be measured which is connected to a constant voltage power supply, and the signals related to the output and the extent of shift of the photodetector are digitized to be processed by a computer. In such a way, the luminous intensity distribution is measured. For instance, a blue cell sensor 10 is shifted by a servo motor 11, etc. in parallel to a rod-shaped lamp 1 connected to a constant voltage power supply 15 which is controlled by a microcomputer 16. The output of the sensor 10 is digitized by a variable resistance 25 or an A/D converter 26 and processed by the computer 16 along with the digital signals obtained by an encoder 12, photosensors 13 and 14, etc. Thus the luminous intensity distribution is measured for the lamp 1.
