Abstract

PURPOSE: To fulfill the damper proof function with a simple mechanism by minimizing the dimensions of the distal end of the auxiliary adjusting screw protruding from the end surface of a rib extending from the carburetor body and by shielding the distal end of the main adjusting screw with the rib.
CONSTITUTION: A throttle valve 3 is placed within the air horn 2 of a carburetor 1. An adjusting lever 4 and an operating lever 5 are fixed to the shaft of the throttle valve 3 outside the carburetor. The rib 7 protrudes on the outside of the carburetor 1. The left side of the rib 7 is hollowed to form a shield 8, in the center of which is provided a horizontal threaded hole to accommodate the auxiliary adjusting screw 9 through a coiled spring 11. The main adjusting screw 12 is screwed in the upper portion of the adjusting lever 4 and the screw head with a driving slot is sealed with a blind plug 14. The distance l1 between the end face of the rib and that of the large-diameter portion 10 of the auxiliary screw 9 is made zero when adjusted by the manufacture.
