Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease the generation rate of leakage in hollow fiber parts by waterproofing and covering both end parts of the hollow fibers to be fixed to a device beforehand prior to wetting.
CONSTITUTION: For example, both ends of a hollow fiber bundle 1 are cut uniformly, and fiber opening parts are opened by quick setting type epoxy adhesive and are inserted into the casing 4 of a selective permeable device. Pots 9, 10 coated with release agents are mounted to the casing, after which urethane adhesive is supplied into the pots 9, 10 through inlets 7, 8 under effecting of centrifugal force. A projection 13 is provided to the pot 10 to avoid securing of end parts 12 to the casing 4. After setting of the adhesive, the pots 9, 10 are removed, and the bundle 1 of the end parts 11 adhered and fixed to the casing 4 and the end parts 12 which are simply covered is obtained. After immersing in warm water, it is lightly centrifugally dehydrated to remove excess water in the fiber parts, the water stuck in the casing and the water drops in the end parts 12, after which the pot 9 is mounted to the end part 12 side, and said end parts are adhered and fixed to the casing 4 in the same manner as mentioned above.
