Abstract

PURPOSE:To constitute an A/D converter so that its accuracy is not varied irrespective of whether voltage is bipolar or unipolar, by providing a zero detecting circuit on said device so that an operation amplifying circuit is inverted or is not inverted by an output of this zero detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input of bipolar voltage is detected by a zero detecting circuit 3 whether the polarity of its signal is positive or negative, is inputted to its output side and also is inputted to a controlling circuit 4. In case of a positive signal, the circuit 4 sets a switch 25 to the positive side of an input of an amplifier 27, outputs a control signal so that a switch 26 is opened, and in case of a negative signal, sets the switch 25 to the negative side of the input of the amplifier 27, and outputs a control signal so that the switch 26 is closed. Accordingly, as for the bipolar voltage which has been inputted, the positive signal is not inverted, and the negative signal is inverted by the amplifier 27. Inspective of whether the signal is positive or negative, the output of the amplifier 27 is outputted as unipolar voltage, and also since the degree of amplification is ''1'', the input signal is inputted to an A/D converter 1 as unipolar voltage.
