CONSTITUTION:An FET 1b is turned on and an input signal 1 is amplified by an amplifier 5 by turning on a switch 4a. In this case, a switch 6a is turned on and the amplified input signal 1 is held by a capacitor 7. Subsequently, the switches 4a, 6a are turned off and switches 4b, 6b are turned on. After that, a controlling circuit drives a D/A converter 13 and outputs a reference value in order from the D/A converter 13. This reference value is amplified by the amplifier 5, is provided to a comparator 11, is compared with the input signal 1 which has been held, and a signal converted digitally is obtained.
