Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain high-speed access to a magnetic disk by reading one succeeding track of data in the single turn of a disk, by employing a different write system from an interleaving sector system. CONSTITUTION:Between a data processor 1 and a magnetic disk device 3, a disk controller 2 which controls the reading and writing of data is provided, and this controller 2 is provided with a control part 21, a DMA interface 22, a buffer memory 23, and a disk interface 24. Then when data 1-4 for four sectors are sent from the device 1 to the memory 23, the sectors data 1 and 3 with physical sector addresses 1 and 3 are written in sectors 1 and 3 with address sequences 1 and 3 during the 1st writing to a magnetic disk 3a which has the physical sectors 1-4, and the sector data 2 and 4 are written successively in the remaining physical sectors 2 and 4 in the 2nd writing. Further, the data 1-3 are read from the physical sectors 1-4 on the disk 3a to the memory 23, thus speeding access.
