PURPOSE:To prevent decomposition of two color type dye adding into a liquid crystal by UV rays and to inhibit decomposition due to chain reaction by adding an antioxidant into a liquid crystal and then mixing UV ray absorber into an orientated film. CONSTITUTION:A displaying device of a guest-host type liquid crystal is provided by adding azo type two color dyes such as bis-azo type two color dye and tri-azo type two color dye etc. into nematic liquid crystals 7. In this case, antioxdants such as phenolic or hindered phenolic type are so added to the dye that decomposition due to chain reaction of dye, of which the reaction is accerelated by reacting upon radicals yielded by photodecomposition and the antioxdant, is prevented. And, UV ray absorber such as benzotriazol type or benzophenone type is mixed into the orientated film 6. In this way, a cut filter for UV rays dose not need, thereby making the form thinner.
