Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately detect the travelling azimuth of a travelling object without compensating the magnetic field by means of an external compensating magnet, by inserting a matter having high magnetic permeability between an azimuth detecting sensor and a magnetic matter having the residual magnetism. CONSTITUTION:A high permeability magnetic matter 3 such as an amorphous alloy, a permalloy, etc. is attached to a roof iron plate 4 of a car 2 and at the side of A in the car. An azimuth detecting sensor 1 is attached to the inside of the matter 3 and apart by a distance L. The signal of the sensor 1 is transmitted to a signal processing circuit 5 to detect the distance. As a result, the travelling azimuth of the car 2 is accurately detected without compensating the magnetic field by means of an external compensating magnet.
