Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to ignite a burner at the same time when water supply is started, and to enhance the heat efficiency, by arranging a liquid remaining sections, which prevents discharge of combusted gas into a liquid reservoir, in a conduit connecting a direct contact type liquid heater with the liquid reservoir.
CONSTITUTION: A combustion chamber 2 is located in a lower part of the liquid heater 1, a spray 4 is located over the chamber 2, and a liquid well section 5 surrounds the combustion chamber 2. The liquid well section 5 is connected via the conduit 11 with a liquid reservoir 10. The conduit 11 is divided by a partition wall 5 into a passage 13 and a passage 14, the bottoms of the passages 14, 13 are located below the inlet and outlet sections to form balance liquid remaining sections 15, 16, and partition panels 17, 18 depend from the upper parts of the sections 15, 16, respectively, and dip into the balance liquid.
