PURPOSE:To improve igniting performance of a combustion apparatus, by employing such as arrangement that the amount of combustion air can be so varied that the amount of combustion air supplied from the time when combustion is started to the time when combustion is stabilized is smaller than that supplied after the combustion is stabilized. CONSTITUTION:When a main switch 10 is turned ON, a motor 12 is turned at a low speed via a relay 17, relay contact 18, selector switch 21 and weak current notch 20, and line-flow blades (not shown) are set into rotation. Therefore, a relatively small amount of combusting air is supplied to a combustion apparatus. Here, since thermal expansion is not caused at the burner section even if the amount of combustion air is small, the ratio of air to fuel is high so that fuel can be burnt. If a time period from the time when fuel is ignited to the time when flame is stabilized is preset in a timer circuit 15, the position of a selector switch 21 is shifted to the side of strong current notch 19 after passing of the setting time and the speed of rotation of the motor 12 is increased, so that the amount of combustion air supplied is also increased. Thus, it is enabled to improve igniting performance of a combustion apparatus.
