Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an antibacterial agent having remarkable effect esp. to Mycobacterium tuberculosis and high safety, by using a specific 2,2'-dithiobisbenzamide derivative as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial agent containing the compound of formula[R1 is (substituted) 1W15C alkylamino, 2W10C dialkylamino, (substituted) phenylamino, etc.; R2 is H or halogen]as active component. The compound has strong antibacterial activity esp. to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and since it has extremely high LD50, it can be administered at a considerably high dose. Applied in the form of tablet, powder, capsule, injection etc. Minimum effective dose: 500W1,000mg per dose for adult.
