Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely immerse automobiles in a conveyor equipment which suspends and immerses bodies of the automobiles into a liquid vessel by moving the conveyor equipment at low speeds when the bodies come into the vessel and thereafter at high speeds.
CONSTITUTION: A suspension type conveyor consists of a trolley guide rail 2, a driving rail above it and a hanger frame 29 which suspends an automobile body 38 from a trolley. The first conveyor 1 for executing an immersion job is disposed between the second and third conveyor equipments 41, 42 and immerses the automobile body 38 suspended from the hanger into a liquid vessel wherein a coating liquid is filled. When the first conveyor equipment 1 receives a trolley, the equipment travels at a normal speed. Once a photoelectric device 43 detects the body 38, the equipment is driven at a low speed and then driven at a high speed for a certain period, that is, the body 38 is transferred at the high speed within the liquid. Therefore, the immersion may be ensured and the efficiency of the job may be improved.
