Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform polishing and cleaning, dust-collection and coating operation easily and securely for the coating of the internal welding surface of steel tubes welded mutually, by fitting a polishing and cleaning machine, a dust collector, and a coating machine successively to a running device with >=3 projecting support legs, and then by moving it in the steel tubes. CONSTITUTION:Steel tubes 14 and 16, etc., are welded coaxially on penetration bead basis, and a polishing and cleaning machine 12 is fitted atop of a running device 10; and the degree of spreading between support legs 128 and 176, and the rubber roller 46 of a drive part is adjusted to correspond to the internal diameter of the steel tubes. Then, after the device 10 is inserted the deepest weld zone by an air motor, a sensor 78 detects variation in film thickness, and the device 10 is extracted by the lengths of a wire brush 188 and a cold chisel 194 and then rotated to perform polishing and cleaning operations. Then, the device 10 is extracted and after the weld zones are cleaned one after another, the polishing and cleaning device 12 is replaced by a dust collector; and the device 10 is inserted as mentioned above and extracted to collect polished and cleaned scrap metal. Then, the dust collector is replaced by a coating machine, and while the device 10 is extracted, coating is performed.
